Carbosands has developed a very simple technology for Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) from brines in the geothermal and oil and gas industries. The CARBOSANDS DLE concept: A granular sorbent is used for lithium adsorption. Desorption is achieved simply by using fresh water. The extraction units require very little infrastructure at the borehole. In the best case, part of the buffer basin can be used. We have applied for a patent for the extraction process.
In this way, a large number of wells in the production area can be equipped with CARBOSANDS DLE systems at low investment cost and the DLE systems can be operated at low operating costs. The Lithium extraction can be offered as a turnkey service. It increases the sustainability and profitability of your geothermal energy and natural gas production sites.
